Illinois Career and Technical Education Leadership Institute
The Illinois Career and Technical Education Leadership Institute (ICTELI) is developing a collaborative network of experts through a year-long program that will advance leadership skills and knowledge. Scholars are administrators or aspiring administrators who desire to provide leadership and advocate for career and technical education. The Institute is in its second program year the Scholar Class of 2005 charted the course for the current program year.

2004-2005 Scholars
The selected Scholars of the 2004-2005 class began the program year on July 21, 2004 at the Doral Resort located in Itasca, Illinois. The opening seminar focused on "The Role of Leadership" in Career and Technical Education (CTE). Presenters at the seminar shared local, state, and national perspectives on CTE. At this seminar, Scholars initiated development of Individual Leadership Development Plans. Each Scholar's Plan will identify leadership goals, objectives, barriers, and evaluations to be implemented during the course of the year.
